Discover Dogs

Discoverdog1I have some pretty exciting news to share, this weekend (the 17th and 18th of October) we are off to DISCOVER DOGS! For those that don’t know Eukanuba Discover Dogs is London’s biggest dog show held at ExCel London and run by the Kennel Club. Winston and I will be on the VIP (Very Important Pups) Instagram dogs stand number 206, where visitors will be able to come for cuddles, dog selfies, a chat and probably a face lick or two!

What makes this even more special for me was that I took my partner to Discover Dogs two years ago when we were deciding about what breed of dog to get. I had my heart set on a Corgi but I really wanted Dan to meet one and it was great to get to talk to the breeders/owners who were showing there. So it’s the event where we finally worked out that a Corgi was 100% the breed for us!Discoverdog2

So come and say hi to us, Winston and I will be sharing the stand with the gorgeous Elle (@grrlgenius_, who I have photographed previously) from 12pm-1pm on Saturday and then we’ll be by ourselves from 3pm-4pm and then on Sunday morning at 10am-11am and then finally at 3pm-4pm. We are planning on walking around the event, watching some of the competitions, shows and amazingly the first ever Canine Rugby World Cup game!

Winston and I have been mentioned in a few articles this week to celebrate the upcoming event and these are a couple of my favourites:

And Top Dogs Throughout UK Revealed – Huffington Post – Written by Caroline Kisko the Kennel Club Secretary

“It is great to see breeds that have long been struggling in the popularity stakes, such as the Pembroke Welsh Corgi (one of the Kennel Club’s At Watch breeds because the numbers are so low) suddenly rising by more than 50% this year – no coincidence perhaps after Winny the Corgi (@winnythecorgi) and others have suddenly acquired a following.”

Discoverdog3And finally last Tuesday Winny and I made our first ever appearance on TV! We were on the London Live lunch time news along with Caroline Kisko. I was so proud of Winston, he was such a star and really well behaved the entire time we were in the studio!
